The Project DeAnima was born from the will of establishing in Brazil a reference and excellence center in dance, shared by two artists of international reputation: Richard Cragun and Roberto de Oliveira.
The guidelines of the project were defined involving the creation of a stable corps de ballet and a social program of professional formation in contemporary Ballet for destitute youngsters of the outskirts of Rio de Janeiro. These are people.
Since its creation in 2001 the company counts 33 projects in its portfolio, 9 dance works, more than 180 performances, as well as participation in the Miami International Festival (2004 e 2005).
The Robert Bosch Institute supports and sponsors DeAnima in the maintenance and creation of presentations to the public, offering to the community the possibility of accessing culture, besides benefiting the youngsters with practical experience in their learning.
